Sourced from an 18th-century Portuguese Family mansion, this impressive hallmarked solid silver ewer and oval tray are beautiful survivors of traditional ceremonial life. Sets of this kind were commonly used for christenings/baptisms and also as refined lavabo (handwashing) service in formal households.

The ewer’s tall, classical silhouette with high looping handle and gently flared spout pairs perfectly with the broad oval tray, creating a striking display for a console, dining table, or sideboard.
